Community Impact Through Service

Bringing Women Together to Lift Our Community

For more than 70 years, the Junior Women’s Club of Springfield has brought together women from all over Delaware County who want to make a difference close to home. We’re a nonprofit service organization built on community, connection, and the belief that small acts of kindness can create big impact.

Our members stay involved through monthly meetings, book club, fitness outings, and social events—and we host annual favorites like the Halloween Parade, charity auctions, and our Breast Cancer Pillow Project. We also support local students through scholarships and partner with meaningful charities chosen every two years. Even with busy lives, we carve out time to laugh, serve, and build friendships while giving back to the place we call home.

Clyde F. Barker House — Our 2026–2028 Club Charity

The Springfield Junior Women’s Club is proud to support the Clyde F. Barker Penn Transplant House as our featured charity for the 2026–2028 board term. The Barker House provides a home away from home for transplant patients and their families who travel to Penn Medicine for life‑saving care.

Built entirely through philanthropy, the Barker House continues to operate thanks to donations from individuals, community groups, and organizations like ours. Contributions help fund guest stays, maintain welcoming common areas, and provide essentials such as toiletries, meals, and comfort items for families in need.

By supporting the Clyde F. Barker House, our club helps ensure that no transplant patient or caregiver is turned away due to financial constraints — and that every family has a safe, warm, and supportive place to stay during their transplant journey.

Our goal for the 2026 - 2028 Board is $25,000
